Tour with BOOBOOK Ecologists

With over thirty year’s ecology and farming experience BOOBOOK guides are hailed as authorities in the natural history of the Carnarvon Ranges and surrounding region.  Join them on an adventure of a life time to get a real taste of Outback Queensland.

With exclusive access to large privately owned Queensland properties, BOOBOOK is uniquely placed to introduce you to Australia’s real outdoors.  You will learn about inland Queensland’s unique and wondrous natural ecosystems, pioneering history along with the agricultural and coal seam gas industries forming the backbone of Australia’s economy.

BOOBOOK’s expert guides  help  unearth some of nature’s best kept secrets that few have the opportunity to see, including lesser known Australian wildlife and rare plants.  There is also plenty of opportunity to see the well-known species, like the Eastern Grey Kangaroo, in its natural habitat.

Leaving from Roma, Queensland (one hour flight from Brisbane) their tours range from one day up to seven day/six nights.

Choose your tour:  visit Origin’s Coal Seam Gas operation, large privately owned working farming / grazing properties or spectacular wildflower areas.  View Aboriginal rock art, amazing rock formations, awesome scenery, unique historical sites and relax beside inland streams and waterholes while observing the many native animals the come to drink and play there.

BOOBOOK pride themselves on their flexibility. Catering for small groups, tours can be customised to meet the interests and fitness levels of your family or friends.  With exclusive access to private and public lands they run special interest tours for wildflower enthusiasts, field naturalists, birding groups, photographers, hiking groups and others.  Have them provide scrumptious outback food or groups can self-cater.  Talk to BOOBOOK and they will develop a customised tour plan for your group.
