Granite Belt Wine Country

The Queensland Granite Belt region is just a 3 hour scenic drive west of Brisbane.

As it is well above sea level it is a much cooler and less humid climate than the coastal fringe and as such, together with it's unique soil, is a fabulous region for growing grapes and other produce.

This region has blossomed into the wine capital of Queensland and is also famous for its other produce - particularly it's apples.

The region is littered with accommodation chioces and has many interesting things to do so plan to stay a few days and enjoy the spoils of this refreshing region. There are many cellar doors and restaurants to keep you busy and if you don't want to drive - take a tour.
