New South Wales & Sydney

New South Wales is where Australia’s european settlement began with the arrival of the First Fleet in 1788, so as you might expect there is a lot of historic significance.

The sheer beauty of the NSW coastline is something to behold and regardless of whether you go north or south, you will be treated to spectacular rock formations, bays, inlets and beaches.

Inland too is a treasure trove of mountains, caves, bush and wildlife.

Sydney.

As you might expect Sydney is all about the harbour and there are so many activities and things to do that overlook and use the harbour as part of your day out.

Taronga Park Zoo is a short ferry ride from Circular Quay where all ferry rides begin from.

A ferry ride to Manly is a must do as you will traverse much of the harbour, see the Bridge and the Opera House, the expensive harbour front homes and of course Manly itself with its cafes and ocean beach.

Climb the bridge! Bridgeclimb is a world renowned activity and can be done with just a couple of spare hours.

Luna Park is tucked under the bridge on the north side, just a 5 minute ferry ride from Circular Quay.

Don’t forget the many bays and beaches that are in all directions and of course Sydney has many wonderful beaches, the most famous being Bondi – about 20 minutes from the city.

Sydney is a cosmopolitan city in every way and has many different shopping and dining precincts. Walking distance from the city hotels is Darling Harbour and Star City.

The list is endless and you will no doubt find plenty to fill your time in Sydney.

Tip.. allow yourself more time.
