Marine creatures hold a certain fascination and depending on how they interact with you can make your holiday.
Australia has so many options for getting up close and personal with our marine friends, whether you choose to be entertained by wonderfully trained seals and dolphins at Dolphin Marine Magic at Coffs Harbour on the Mid north coast of NSW or having wild doplphins come up to you for a feed at Monkey Mia 2000km away in Western Australia.
You can watch a parade of fairy penguins at Philip Island in Victoria, swim with the great whites off South Australia (in a cage of course) or cruise beside those gentle giants, the Whalesharks at Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia.
How you do it is up to you. You can watch from the comfort of a seat on dry land or from a boat, or you can get in amongst it by snorkelling or scuba diving.
Many times I’ve scratched a giant turtle’s back or played with the Manta Rays while snorkelling off Lady Elliot Island, one of Queenslands Great Barrier Reef islands.
Choose any of these activities to ad another dimension to your Australian experience.
