Just a 2 hour drive from Sydney and Canberra, the beautiful Kangaroo Valley is an experience not to be missed.
Kangaroo Valley is one of Australia’s most enchanting valleys, with a richness of scenery, magnificent escarpments, lush rainforests, and abundant native fauna and flora it is nothing short of breath taking in its beauty. The Valley spreads across gently sloping green pastures flanked by the mountains of the NSW Southern Highlands.
The crystal clear Kangaroo River meanders through the valley offering bountiful fishing, sporting and recreational canoeing, scenic picnic spots and of course endless photo opportunities along its path. The historic Hampden Bridge spanning the river is a much loved landmark, with her regal Gothic Revival turrets built from locally quarried stone she is the only surviving suspension bridge from the colonial period in New South Wales
The village of Kangaroo Valley is a delightfully welcoming National Trust-listed town cradled between the Cambewarra and Barrengarry mountains, with a population of around 850 locals who love to share their country haven with visitors.
