This region covers all the coastal regions north of Sydney and includes the Central Coast, Coffs Coast and the Coastal region of Northern New South Wales which includes Byron Bay and Tweed Heads on the border of Queensland.
This area is a wonderland of beautiful beaches and rich fertile hinterlands.
The banana growing regions around Coffs Harbour are famous tourist regions and the Pacific highway is a magnificent tourist drive of just over 1000km, stretching from Sydney to Brisbane.
Give yourself a few days to drive this route and stop every few hours. If you have the time, give yourself a few weeks.
This is one of my favourite Australian drives and one I love to do at every opportunity.
