Sunshine Coast

The Sunshine Coast of Queensland is the region just to the north of Brisbane and the Great South East. It sits between Bribie Island and Fraser Island and includes the iconic locations of Noosa, Perigian Beach, Coolum, Caloundra, Mooloolaba, Maleny and the Glass House Mountains.

If your idea of combining sport with holiday is a bit less adrenaline-fueled, then you might want to consider one of the many cycling trails around the Sunshine Coast beaches. Motorcyclists can also find trips through the countryside surrounding the coast extremely rewarding. The Sunshine Coast is also packed with great golf courses if playing a great game against a wonderful coastal backdrop is your idea of heaven. Many of the courses in the area are five-star quality, including the Twin Waters Golf Club, which comes in as one of the six best courses in the whole of Australia. Maleny is treasure and will surprise you. Palmer Resort Coolum also has a championship-level golf course. Finally, venturing inland to visit one of the Sunshine Coast’s national parks is well worth it. They include Mapleton Falls National Park and The Glass House Mountains National Park.
