The South Coast of NSW begins from Stanwell Park less than 1 hours drive from the Sydney CBD. From here you will wind your way along a magnificent highway built out over the ocean in parts, that will take in the towns of Wollongong, Nowra, Kiama, Batemans Bay, Mittagong, Ulladulla, Narooma, Merimbula, Bega and Eden.
This one of the prettiest stretches of highway in the whole country and is one that just begs to be explored. It has numerous accommodation choices from Caravan parks to B & Bs and 5 star establishments.
It offers an alternative driving route between Sydney and Melbourne to the Hume Highway that follows a more direct inland route. Famous for dairy produce and fishing it is also a scenic delight and less crowded than the Hume highway.
Activites abound to keep you and your loved ones busy. Whale watching and fishing charters are extremely popular and beach goers are spoilt for choice. Golfers have several oceanfront courses to challenge and delight them and surfers will think they have died and gone to heaven.
The South Coast of NSW will delight any holiday maker.
