The Astor has a history too … completed in 1922, the Astor was created from the renovations of two conjoined Georgian townhouses which were the rooms and residences of two prominent Hobart surgeons. 1930 saw a refurbishment of the Astor – hot and cold running water to the guest rooms and ‘bed lights attached to bedsteads’ – a very modern amenity for its time.
These days the Astor maintains the charm and ambience of earlier times and we look forward to having you stay with us.
