Kimo is a luxury accommodation, wedding and reception venue situated 10 mins from Gundagai on a working 7000 acre sheep and cattle farm. We offer onsite accommodation for up to 32 people in our three luxury glamping Eco Huts, two cottages and our unique shearers quarters.
The Homestead and gardens are the idyllic setting for an elegant wedding ceremony and our Rustic 110 year old Grain Shed is a unique country wedding reception venue with a large capacity of up to 200.
THE HUTS AT KIMO ESTATE
Our eco huts are designed to allow you to switch off from this busy world and get back to nature, get back to a more simplistic world that we’ve left behind. Architecturally designed they are completely off-grid and make use of the sun the wind and the rain. They sit high on our hilltops, km’s apart and overlook the beautiful Murrumbidgee River flats and the grand hills surrounding them in one of the most beautiful parts of Australia. All three Huts have Hot Tubs to soak on and take it all in… Which one will you choose?
UNIQUE COUNTRY WEDDING
If you are looking for a rustic farm wedding reception venue then this is it. Our beautiful grain shed is over 110 years old, built with solid timber and with beautiful vaulted ceilings, you have to see it to believe how lovely the space is. The Grain shed holds views across the Murrumbidgee river flats and set in one of the most beautiful valleys in the region, your wedding reception will be one to remember.
WINDIE’S COTTAGE
Windies is our cute little two bedroom cottage. Once the accountant’s cottage, Windies has been renovated to retain the old world charm but feel contemporary and comfortable. Styled by Carlie Oats to provide the ultimate space to relax and take in the sounds of the farm around you. With 2 bedrooms and a day bed, Windies can accommodate up to 5 people.
DALEY’S COTTAGE
Daleys Cottage has been home to countless families of Kimo Estate workers over the last century but has now had a new lease on life. Fully Renovated Daley’s caters for families and Groups with its three bedrooms and two entertaining area. Two Queen bedrooms and another with two single beds, cosy lounge room, entertainers kitchen and one of the most beautiful views on the property from the verandah.
THE “SHEARERS QUARTERS” AT KIMO
Formerly a functioning and practical accommodation, the shearers quarters are gaining a new lease on life while retaining their authentic appeal.
Containing 3 Double and 3 Twin bedrooms. The “Mess Hall” is a great room for dinner parties and is just off the huge “Cooks Kitchen” which has a large oven, full fridge and diswasher. The “Wash House” retains it’s authenticity but gains some privacy from its renovation and the “Out House” retains everything.
This is a really Rural Australian Experience for those looking for something a bit different. It will amaze both International guests, country cousins and city folk alike. Guests can cater themselves or maybe just throw something on the BBQ, we also have people who can pop together some catering for you if you like – just ask.
