Please feel free to wander the property and forest or take a stroll up the hill with a picnic and watch the sunset, there are two fire pits on the top of the hill and a picnic basket and blanket for your use or commune with the horses or resident dogs. Sheep, cows and alpacas all on view from the property so you can really connect with nature.
Shawwood is a great place to do some outdoor entertaining with an outdoor table and BBQ . The kitchens are modern and well equipped with all the modern appliances.

I am writing this review on behalf of our team. As you know we booked the entire facility at Shawwood Mudgee, all 5 apartments, for our 2024 business kick-off meeting. Firstly, the feedback is about your personal support and interest in making our conference stay as smooth as possible. It was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was prepared perfectly. The apartments themselves (and I have stayed at many facilities in Mudgee over more than 30 years) are the highest quality I have ever seen.
Every apartment was perfectly fitted out and nothing was left out. One of our staff was in a wheelchair and the disabled persons room was also perfect. The cleanliness was incredible, the grounds were immaculate, the access easy, the advice and suggestions on things to do, places to eat etc. were wonderful.
We also arranged a wine tasting at sunset on the top of the hill on the property. It was terrific. You have, in my opinion and those of our team of 10, by far the best accommodation in the Mudgee region. And, we loved your dogs! You should be very proud of what you have created. We will certainly be back again and more than happy to be a reference for any future guests.
