RedGround Cottage offers a cosy farm-stay featuring a warm wood fire with stunning valley views and magical night skies. The comfortable, private cottage is an ideal country get-away to relax on a working truffle and equestrian farm and is centrally located to enjoy all the attractions Oberon has to offer.
RedGround Cottage is a 2 bedroom farm stay cottage for one or two couples on our 60-acre property in Oberon NSW, just a short 2.5 hour drive from Sydney.
Come and experience the beauty of the four seasons in our alpine climate at 1200m above sea level.
You can stroll around the property and watch the kangaroos lazily grazing on the paddock. Sit by the dam and enjoy the calm countryside.
Sit back and relax while you overlook stunning valley views in front of a roaring log fire. Watch the sun set then gaze up at the night sky with crystal clear views of the Milky Way.

Approximately 2.5 hours drive from Sydney on sealed roads. When you arrive at RedGround you will see our truffle hunting lodge right next to the truffiere. Easy and ample parking is available behind the lodge where we will welcome you.

“There is so much to say about this quaint cottage stay in Oberon. Honestly, the photos don’t really do it justice. Yes it looks like it in theory, but it is so much better once you enter.
It’s just a ‘feeling’ of complete serenity. It is situated on this gorgeous property and has basically 360 degree views of just beautiful farmland and mountains in the background. Every morning we woke (June in Oberon), the scene was tipped with frost, everywhere, and you literally watched it melt as the sun awoke.
There is so much natural light that comes through all the windows and there is a big, beautiful deck that expands out the back.
Beds were super comfy and warm, log fireplace was gorgeous, cleaning was spotless, water pressure in showers was so strong, Jill was communicative, warm and lovely to deal with, coffee machine (absolute necessity), comfortable lounge to snuggle on…basically you have to stay here!” Danielle.
