Established in 1922, current design built in 1954, this original 1950’s fisherman’s shack (named after the 1959 Holliwood / Australian movie “On The Beach” starring Gregory Peck and Ava Gardner) maintains its “original” feel and has an open living area, 1950’s kitchen cabinets and decked out with modern appliances and utensils, cutlery and crockery.

A new stainless french door fridge, carpet, curtains, lounge suite and laundry washer dryer stack round out the mod cons.
The sleeping quarters (3 queens, 3 single bunks, 2 double foldout sofas, 1 camp bed and one single mattress) sleeps up to 15 people and consists of 3 bedrooms.
The “Peck”, the “Gardner” and the “Astaire” bedrooms – all with queen beds.
“On The Beach” is an authentic 1950s experience with modern comforts including a coffee machine, huge flatscreen TV and WiFi – and plenty of original maritime Australiana.
