The lodge is laid out without fanfare along a ribbon of serene beach and all accommodation types are waterfront, guaranteeing Coral Sea views and languid sea breezes.
Each Room, Suite or Villa has been designed to embody a contemporary minimalist island aesthetic whilst remaining true to the traditional character and architecture of the island. Accommodating just forty indulged guests at any one time ensures serenity and seclusion reigns.
One of the first thing you will notice when arriving at Orpheus is the newly constructed 26 metre x 13 metre infinity pool overlooking the private front beach where you can enjoy a refreshing dip or a drink at the outdoor bar.
The new Resort Managers at Orpheus are qualified marine biologists and experienced divers, so will happily escort you to the best snorkelling, diving and fishing spots that the reef has to offer.
Finally, we are committed to sustainability and are focussing on providing local, seasonal and organic produce where possible, whilst also establishing a large vegetable garden on site.
They are building a water tank with an 800,000-litre capacity, installing solar hot water and stocking the gift shop and rooms with organic, fair trade and local products.
