After 25 years it felt time for a little refresh, and we’re getting back to the earthier tones of our beginnings,  a new look that reflects our tranquil natural setting. The colour palette is inspired by the amazing array of colours that surface on the spotted gum trees when it rains, from pale greens and pinks to a rusty red, as well as the natural tones and deeper shades of green found on the surrounding Prickly Leaf tea trees (from whom we get our name,  PAPERBARK) .

Our logo has also relaxed a bit, it was a hard decision to say goodbye to the iconic tent designed all those years ago by our talented friend Juanita Field, but we think this new version is more than a nod to the original, but with a  cute new vibe, we hope you agree!

Who’d ever have dreamed it?        A tented bush camp, in Jervis Bay… a pristine environment just a few hours south of Sydney.

Our African inspired canvas safari tents have been thoughtfully placed amongst the soaring eucalyptus and intriguing paperbarks, built above the ground to give privacy and comfort and to  capture the sea breeze.

Full power and free guest wifi is available in the Gunyah but we encourage our guests to think about using their time with us as a great opportunity to switch off and get back to nature!

Dining at Paperbark Camp

The Gunyah (Aboriginal for meeting place) is the heart of the camp.

With delicious food and specially selected regional wines served amongst the treetops… there’s no doubt that dining in the Gunyah is a highlight of a stay at Paperbark Camp, taking the concept of bush tucker to another level.

From the hearty home cooked breakfast enjoyed before setting out for the day, the packed gourmet picnic to nourish whilst bushwalking or a romantic candlelit dinner on the verandah, all  meals at Paperbark Camp are prepared with much thought and always with our sustainable ethos in mind.

Much consideration is given to sourcing local and regional produce and only the freshest ingredients used, so menus change regularly depending on what is in season.
